EASY MATH USING CRAZY COMPUTERS
Here is an innovative method of teaching children basic mathematics. All that is required, is a set of
questions containing basic mathematical operations and a computer that can show an image of snake and ladder game board. At school, I have taught my students how to play this game and we have played it in teams(say team A and B).
I hope never again do my students call mathematics "boring, stressful and fearsome".
RULES
·
A team should not discuss with the
opponent team.
·
Both teams are placed at START position in
the beginning.
·
At position where there is a ladder, a
team will climb up if the question is answered correctly, otherwise the team
stays in the same position.
·
At position where there is a snake, a team
will stay in the same position if the question is answered correctly, otherwise
the team scrolls down towards the tai
Thus the team that answers maximum number of questions correctly, is the winner and is awarded an A* !!!
Information to parents
The game could also be played at home under parental guidance. Parents could create their own set of questions and make the children play.
I have also developed a few animated videos to explain basic addition and subtraction operations in an attractive way. I am also sharing the link for everyone to view it.
It is also shared publicly on my Google+ profile.

ReplyDeleteThe game method really interesting. My son doing well. The speed and accuracy of the problem solving ability increasing stage by stage. Occurrence of error reducing gradually. One main thing, child is showing real interest in solving problem compared to normal book and pencil form of learning.

This game method keep away from monotonous nature of Maths learning. My son showing progress in mind calculations and really interested the play method. One suggestion I would like to notify. Dice movement can be entered in the Computer by the child and hence the interaction with computer can be increased.

The learning method is very interesting to my kid and he is enjoying doing it again and again. This method is away from the normal monotonous way and keeps engaging them for a longer time.

This Work really encourages children to work out mathematical sums in the play - way method for the tiny tots. Very interesting and highly encouraging to the students .It can be applied to the higher class students with different concepts. It helps the child to redo whenever its gone wrong without any stress. Highly innovative learning method.

The game method is highly interesting. My son without tension now answering the sums we are asking. Now we started with 3 digit numbers also, for this he is also comfortable but taking some little more time. But I am confident he can reduce the time gap by frequent practicing.
